Christmas is a magical time of year! Christmas is a holiday that lasts all December long for some and it’s a way to escape the frigid New England weather for a bit. It is absolutely my favorite holiday. There’s so many things to love about Christmas – the neighborhoods lit up at night, big dinners with old and new family, the smell of cookies being baked, pretty dresses to wear to Grandma’s, decorating the tree with memories, all the snow, giving gifts to loved ones and getting your portrait taken with Father Christmas!
This year’s Father Christmas event went smoothly and was truly a fun time for everyone involved. We prepped the “green room” with white backdrops (to create a snowy look), hung snowflakes from the ceiling and even had a sleigh with a bag of presents! My favorite part of the set was a distressed barn window hung from the ceiling, partly as a partition for “indoor” and “outdoor” shots and as a prop to shoot through a snowy window. We even had volunteer elves to run between the office and shoot space!
We had the most adorable clients come in with their families. We aim to give the best experience while having fun and getting great Christmas photo’s to share with friends and families! Father Christmas shoots offer a variety of prints to choose from and you get to take a print home with you that day! I remember one little guy with the sweetest look on his face – him and his grandmother were so excited to have a print to take home with them! That’s really what Christmas is all about, bringing joy to others and I really feel that we were able to provide that at this years events.
We put so much hard work into Father Christmas, be it baking tons of cookies for the customers or peeling paint off the old window – we do it all to bring joy to the Christmas Season. The cards, ornaments and prints came out so great this year and I can’t wait to for Father Christmas next year!
